The FGRA sheet gives his birth abt 1734 and says "md" but no date nor name. "Anc. and Desc. of Wm. Curtis..." has only his name. According to an article in "Wordens Past" vol XX pg 1566, Elisha served in the French and Indian War in Connecticut Regiments in 1760-1763. It also says his ear-mark was entered in Stonington 1768 and he became a Freeman in 1769, settled in Halifax and represented Halifax Church in the Shaftsbury Association. No counties nor states are given for these places but Stonington is in New London, Conn., and there is a Halifax in both Plymouth Co., Massachusetts and Windham Co., Vermont. Since it says he represented Halifax Church in Shaftsbury Association, it must be Vermont as Halifax, Vermont, is about 35 miles from Shaftsbury, Bennington Co. and Windham Co. was, until 1781, part of Bennington Co. A further article in vol XXI pg 1713 says his first wife was Thankful, no surname given, and gives the date of her death, date of marriage to his second wife and his death date. It says his will was dated 4 Oct 1805, however it says he died 17 Sep 1820. Record of the marriage is in "Early Massachusetts Marriages" pg 162, Greenfield, Berkshire.
