b.
5-26-1743 in Dutchess County, New York; d. in 1810 or 1813. He came
to
Danby, Vermont in the spring of 1767 with his family, and
erected
a log cabin on the now, Nelson Colvin farm. On
March
14, 1769, he was appointed the Collector of Danby,
Vermont.
In 1793, he moved his family to Adolphustown,
Ontario,
Canada. In his Will dated May 25, 1810, Peter states:
“That
he is of the Township of Haldimand in the County of
Northumberland
in the District of Newcastle and the Province
of
Upper Canada”.
