marriage of Captain Cook Irish, a dau., Martha Ann Irish was born.  She married Robert Beales and they had three daughters, – per a letter from the oldest daughter.  A second daughter was born to Sarah, the wife of Captain Cook Irish about two years after Mary Ann was born, which was about four months after Captain Cook’s death.  Captain Cook was shipwrecked, but succeeded in getting to the shore where he was found frozen to death with a gun and a tiny box in the form of a trunk, containing the ship’s papers.  The widow married again."
